Download and install the latest portable setup where you want then run smartgit-portable.exe.
If you have already installed SmartGit™ from the original setup, move the following files :

%APPDATA%\syntevo\SmartGit\<major-smartgit-version>\* to data\.settings
%APPDATA%\syntevo\SmartGit\smartgit.vmoptions to data

Then run smartgit-portable.exe and remove SmartGit™ from your computer.
Upgrade
For an upgrade, simply download and install the latest portable setup.
